Proposed vacation notice, request for public input

OFFICIAL NOTICE OF PROPOSED VACATION AND REQUEST FOR PUBLIC INPUT TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN AND TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on August 2, 2022, the Planning Commission of the City of McPherson, Kansas will consider the following application at 7:00 p.m. in the Commission Room at the Municipal Center, 400 East Kansas Avenue, McPherson, Kansas.

Case No. VO‑21-01.

Janelle Krivin, of 910 Sycamore Place, McPherson, KS 67460, pursuant to Section 10‑103-A of the City's Subdivision Regulations, requests a vacation of the twelve (12) foot wide, North-South Public Alley in Block Eleven (11), Bowker’s Addition to the City of McPherson, McPherson County Kansas and more particularly described by William B. Heller, P.S. 1201, July 1, 2022 as follows:

Commencing at the Southwest Corner of Lot Six (6), Block Eleven (11), Bowkers Addition to the City of McPherson, McPherson County, Kansas, The Point of Beginning; thence North along the West Lot Line of Lot Six (6) and Lot Five (5) to a point halfway between the Southwest Corner and Northwest Corner of Lot Five (5); thence running West, parallel to The South Lot Line of said Lot Five (5) and Lot Eight (8), Twelve (12) Feet to a point that is halfway between The Northeast Corner and Southeast Corner of Lot Eight (8); thence South along The East Lot Line of Lot Eight (8) and Lot Severn (7) to The Southwest Corner of said Lot Seven; thence East to The Southwest Corner of said Lot Six (6), Twelve (12) Feet, The Point of Beginning. 

Said vacated alley shall be subject to any easement or regulations of record.

General Location: 910 Sycamore Place, City of McPherson, McPherson County, Kansas 

You may appear at this time either in person or by agent or attorney, if you so desire, and be heard on the matter.  After hearing the views and wishes of all persons interested in the case, the Commission may close the hearing and prepare a recommendation to the City Commission which, if approved under the City Subdivision Regulations, would be effectuated by an order which would then be filed with the McPherson County Register of Deeds.  The public hearing may be recessed and continued from time to time without further notice.
