Bulldogs Tripped Up by Ottawa

Monday Night (Jan. 23) the McPherson College Bulldogs hosted the Ottawa University Braves for the second matchup of the Conference play at the Sports Center in McPherson, Kan. 

In the first half, the Bulldogs outscored the Braves 37-32, shooting 38 percent from the field but just 28 percent from behind the arc. Tytiana Haamid led the team in rebounds with nine. Haamid also led the team in points scored with ten, with Dy'mond McElrath and Summer Kirkman close behind with eight apiece. 

The Braves did not back down in the second half coming back with Ottawa's Nicole Brown's 33 points and 21 rebounds. In the Fourth, the Braves took their biggest lead of the game with an 11-point difference. Haamid, McElrath, and Kirkman all ended up with 14 points each.

The Bulldogs will travel to Leavenworth, Kan. to face off against the University of Saint Mary at 6:00 PM.
