Each semester, nursing students complete clinical hours at our hospital in addition to class time. We're excited to announce one more additional way we're partnering with Hutchinson Community College to create a more efficient and innovative learning model for aspiring nurses.
“The college is going to be providing the simulation mannequins, and we’re providing the space in which we can run the simulations, so that it is much more true to being in a hospital,” said Chief Nursing Officer Jonna Jenkins. “It will be one of our hospital units that we’ll convert to the lab, and the college’s students will come over here for that learning experience. Additionally, our nurses will be able to use the lab for different scenarios when the school is not using it for educational purposes," Jenkins said.
